Artist-Run focuses on the artist-run space, a thriving alternate model of support, exchange, and community to the established commercial market. For Artist-Run Tiger Strikes Asteroid will bring together an international representation of nearly 40 of these initiatives in a repurposed hotel with each room will feature a different installation/environment by one of these groups.For their entry Nashville’s COOP Curatorial Collective will present a multidisciplinary exhibition of works that together examine the texture of working artist relationships titled After Bacharach. This installation will pair the work of four artist-couples in an overlapping environment to examine the formal and casual differences and connections between their methodologies and personal relationships. This project will comprise elements of video, sound, performance, installative drawn surfaces & painting, and cast natural objects by Virginia Griswold & Morgan Higby Flowers, Alex Blau and Paul Collins, Ariel and Christopher Lavery and Nick Hay and Clarissa Peppers.
